Being more specific in a title and/or a post helps everyone know what is being asked. The first reply had nothing to do with 2.2L performance since they didn't know. That's why it was moved.

Not everyone looks in specific forums for new posts, they simply reply from the front page, which does not tell them what forum the thread is in. Others prefer to go to specific forums and look for posts related to that forum.

foofoomaru, It's all good. Hope you find lots of ideas.

The rims/tires were a gift.
Windows were $65 for the front two.
De-lettered front grille of "Chevrolet"
painted the bowties with OEM paint to match my shadow edition.

Since it's general now...
I cut the antenna with no ill-effects and capped it with a vaccuum cap <$3.
I have <$100 tied up in my tail light conversion >$100 if you count the beer :)
$60 for SS spring swap
LED's are cheap

All depends on what you are looking to do. I prefer the "modified with stock parts" look. Stuff that only the folks in the know would notice.

Ps Thanks Mike I'm starting to like it myself, so many of the things should have been done by Gm before I got it. Especially the stg1,dual exhaust, solid motor mount, I could go on,stubby antena, projector lights, mud flaps, led tails.
HAHA Nipples...

I've done............. Some stuff.

Best bang for the buck performance wise, within your price range....... Keep your eyes on the classifieds here and watch eBay for a rear swaybar and a set of rear leveling springs. You can score these used/like new for about $100 each, shipped, so it's two different buys at or around your max price range each. It will turn the whole performance, feel and looks of the car around dramatically.

If/when you can afford such things, wheels and tires should be on the short list.

Other more cosmetic mods...... Painted bowties, de-badging or re-badging, gutter guard lower grill, painted calipers and drums, etc. etc. This stuff is cheap and easy weekend projects...... Heck, even I could do them.

Anybody spot the re-badge?

Most important...... Have fun, and keep her clean!

And then you have the rarest of the "cheap" mods, the HHR.net decal. There will now be a moment of quiet reflection for those who still seek the sacred decal, and prayers for them on their quest.
