hi
after reading the insurance thread i put my vin in the vin decoder box linked in that thread(comprehensive vin decoder).

i just purchased this recently and there are no markings on the tailgate for ls or lt.and our dmv had tax value issues with it also.
also i was told from original owner i had a 2.2l but the rpo reader says 2.4 and i checked the glovebox sticker and it does indeed say le5 option.
which made me really happy if true(how can i be sure).
here is my rpo list for my vin,can anyone tell me exactly what this hhr is?
also it does not have the remote start option listed,is this even possible with this many options?the hhr is canadian.

the original owner had no idea what he had as he told me 2.2l and nearly fully loaded.it was his wife's fathers which they brought back from bc when he passed away(the year he purchased it 2007)
so my next question is why do i not seem to have remote start?
got the normal keyfob and no ap3 on the glove box tag.
i thought all auto tranny hhr's had remote start except possibly fleet cars?
hhr was purchsed in bc with 800km on the clock in 2007.
is there anyway to verify if i have this?
also there is nothing in the dic to turn remote start on/off(i have checked as per other threads on the subject)

Sorry to say that "all autos have remote start" is a myth, it was entirely possible to have an auto without the AP3 option, and fairly common too. You've already verified the lack of the option yourself, no AP3 on the build tag.

Since you have a Canadian market vehicle the exact options do vary at times from what we see here in the US. All that being said, there are several aftermarket remote start systems that you can install to give you the functions you would get if you had the AP3 option factory installed.

If your key fob doesn't have the 3 buttons ( the top one in the middle having a rounded arrow) you don't have remote start.

i think that only applies if the dic has the remote start option in the menu,mine does not.

hard to believe that a well optioned hhr like mine would not have this.

oh well,none of our other cars had it so no sense getting upset.
also i like the hhr more than any car in my recent history(2 ions and an astra)
