What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?

Hi All
First post for me!
I have been a Pontiac Firefly owner (1991, 1997 & 1998) for 10 years and just purchased a 2009 HHR LT yesterday. (manual trans)
I travel 240 kms (150 miles) round trip to work and always looked at making sure I was getting the best economy. Now...A little older, and in need of some more style! along with some decent economy.
Looking forward to seeing what kind of mileage I can get. Hoping for 45mpg (Canadian gallon) as I was getting mid 50's with the flys.

I gave up my 98 S10 ZR2, I loved that truck. That was the best truck Chevrolet ever made. I've had it up to the headlights in water runnin up a creek, a few feet off the ground jumping it, and still drove it everyday. Drove it a few times about 9 hours to northeast Ohio. I do love my HHR though, even though i can't jump it.

I got rid of a 91 forrunner. It needed alot of work-adding up to more than it was worth. A dealer gave me a hell of a trade and then knocked more money off of my HHR panel! I scored my 2007 panel with 9000 miles on it-extended warranty etc...for 10,600 out the door trading my beat up forrunner.
This will be my first winter with the HHR. I do miss having a vehicle to abuse and not worry about though-at the same time the HHR fits my needs so much better than any car I have had-and gets over double the mileage that the forrunner got!
Next test-heading skiing in the HHR! Need some blizzacks or whatever-and should be just fine!
