My 05 ION Red Line that had a slew of mods. I loved the car, but it was showing it's age and I wanted something a little larger.

I had a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica that need $2K in repairs, instead I put $1,500 down on a low miles certified pre-owned 2011 HHR. Little did I know at the time it has the following it does. That was a pleasant surprise. I miss some of the features of the Pacifica but I am really enjoying the HHR. I want to add some personal touches but our budget is tight so they will have to wait. I did get script for the dash that I hope to install on Saturday.

I had a 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34 with 176,000 miles that was showing its age. Plus it had some engine problems. So searching for my next vehicle that was priced under $12k, 2008+, less than 60k miles, with decent gas mileage, and looked good...I found a 2010 Chevy HHR 1LT that fit the bill. And after having it for a few weeks, I believe I made the right choice!

My previous car was a 1997 Toyota Tercel CE with 205,000 miles on it, bad tranny and an oil leak but the A/C worked great! Sold it to a family friend for $1.00 and full knowlege of problems so I don't feel guilty.
Bought (June, 2013) a 2008 2LT HHR in Victory Red with only 10K miles on it and garage kept for $9800.00 cash!

What if you didn't "give up" another car, just added the HHR to your "fleet?"

There's a lot of HHR owners that fit that description.

My SS was just bought as an "extra car" for me and the wife.

That's "kinda" what we did. I own 3 Opel Sportwagons, one of which my wife used to drive 60 miles a day through Atlanta traffic. She did this for several years till the poor thing started giving out. We bought a '99 Suburban and she drove that for a couple of years, now, you might think that's a waste, but, with 42 gals and +/- 21MPG (all hwy driving) she could go two weeks on a tank, but, now that gas prices are jumping by $.20 and$.25 rather than a nickel or dime, we decided to get something small and 25+ mpg, so we got the HHR. I'm driving the Suburban while I rebuild a motor for MY Sportwagon. The wife's old Sportwagon is going to our daughter being a senior in HS this year (yeah the Opels are still going) I drive only 21 miles round trip, everyday, so 42 gals will last me a month....

9C-1 for HHR

I gave up a 1995 Chevy 9C-1 cop car. Big V-8, a lot of fun, put on lot's of extras over the years. It was time.

I traded in a 2008 Hyundai Accent GS. Most reliable car I have ever owned. It was in the shop only once in 65000 miles, for something I broke.
