2LT is supposed to have the 2.4L, part of what makes it a 2LT is that motor being standard.

Greybeard is right about the 2.4 being standard for 2LT

Also: On the inside of the glove box door should have "FE3" listed. That's 2LT only !!

As to the ill handling, I would speak to the Dealer ASAP & tell him it "feels" Unsafe to Drive, (talk nice) & see if they'll do an alignment on it..

I know 2LTs have StabilliTrack which I dig big time, the 2.4L and I think they also have the 7 speaker system so if there is a sub in the cargo bay it’ll help identify too, with other things.

However, I think the 7-speaker set up is not only a 2LT thing, 1LTs can add that option.

My 07 2LT has the 2.2, leather, sunroof, automatic, XM w/iPod. It rides nice, handles pretty well although the handling in the rain can be a little touchy.
I have put over 30,000 on it in the year and a half that I have owned it, with the only problem being warped rotors and squealing brakes (cured now).

A 2.2L in a 2LT? If it's a 2LT it would have a 2.4L the larger engine is part of that package. Could you have a 1LT with options? Check your VIN here....

http://compnine.com/vid.php

It will tell you the package and all your options.

LT on the back door and a 2.2 engine will be a 1LT. Should have 16" alloy wheels unless they have been replaced with new.

My bad ! ! For the life of me I can't figure out what lead me to believe it was a 2LT.

Checked my VIN at the link Greybeard posted and ta da.

Something I noticed at that site was the rarity of the vehicle. It sounded a little bogus. My 2007 2LT Sport Red HHR can't be one of 68 or am I reading it wrong?

Anyway thanks to all for the input that sent me searching.

Apologies for thread jack.

No apology necessary...... Glad you found that link useful. The count there is a little off.... I get either 2 or 10 depending, and I don't have a rare car.....

With it being a fleet car who knows whats happened to that car. I work at a car rental and would never buy or recommend a fleet car to any one. I know how people treat the cars and and how Ive driven some of the cars as well As far as the tires go all sorts of things could have happened including mulitiple flats and so customers could of returned with different tires so the dealer got all matching tires. I would have that car checked from top to bottom because there is no telling what could be wrong with car. Good luck and hope every thing works out for you.
