What to name it...

I've been thinking. What should I call my 2011 HHR LT? Have to have a name. Let's see... We have "wagon", "hearse", "retrobeast", among many others. All good. But nothing that suits my rugged, individualistic persona.

Well, anyway, while I was working on adjusting the HHR's doors today, my sister-in-law makes a surprise visit. "Hey, like the new car! Looks like one of those gangster cars - the kind where the bad guys pop out the top shooting their tommy guns."

That's IT!

I'll call it "gangsta". Or, how about "Clyde"?

How about "Capone" or "Bugsy"?

Or you could use old Chicago gangster slang for a car and call it a "Bucket", "Boiler", or "Bangtail".

I'm liking "Bugsy". I'll let that one stew a while.

Welcome to the site!! I suggest Al ! for Al Capone, or Blacky for the color and gangster theme, or put on some wide white wall tires from Coker and name it Spats after the gangster in Some Like It Hot!!

Thanks for the welcome.

Massachusetts born and bred. Over the years a number friends have moved to the Woodstock area of CT, the "quiet corner" I think it's called. Pretty farm country. Reminds me of Vermont. Rolling hills and great motorcycle roads.

And it is a beauty. I was tempted by a few SS's for sale in my area. Would have cost another 3 or 4 grand, though.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Good suggestions. I did consider "Al". Think I might stick with Bugsy, for now.

It's interesting. The HHR seems to be a ride owners like to make their own. Not two are exactly alike.
