What should my Dealership order??

hey guys,

since i am the HHR guru at my dealership, my opinion of them is highly regarded. so as my dealership gets more allocations they asked me what they should order. so now i pose this question to you all.

what colors (interior & exterior)? engines? options? cloth or leather? So far out of the 10 HHR's ive sold. 5 have been black. 8 have been 2.4L. 7 have been 2LTs. i have given my dealership my opinion, but i want some feedback from you all.

thanks in advance!

2LT all the way. When I get a vehicle I always go for lots of options. I don't see why people buy base models. Even full loaded the HHR is still cheap. You should only order the 2.4 engine which still isn't powerful enough. Leather is nice but bland on the HHR. Although seeing as how the leather seats are heated they probably sell well in your area. I would stick to the grey interior because tan is a pain in the a** to keep clean (I know from my Mustang) but it looks nice. I tend to stick with black and silver but sandstone is a nice color. One of my big selling points was the running boards. I would not get a HHR without them. Also leave the spoiler off. I would not buy one with it on. I don't think it fits the style of vehicle well.

The Sandstone ones with upgraded 17" wheels are sharp.

I justified and ended up going from my original price-point for the leather interior, running boards, premium stereo, 2.4L, basically a almost fully loaded 2LT. Automatic trans was a must, with Atl traffic.

Took it to have now, was not concerned with Sun-roof (but it does have it), would opted for saving that additional, but....

Here in Atlanta, when I went to a couple dealers, the nicer ones were gone, basic ones taking a little longer to move.

Thanks!!!

I bought a 1LT with 2.4L, automatic, and running boards as the only option. I think some people dont' care for the roof rack, and many will want to install their own high-end stereo - so the XM and changer are not needed. If you've been selling a ton of black, you might want to get some Dark Metallic Silvers in to have a different option - some people dont' want to drive the same color car they are seeing all over town.

From a selling standpoint, the Dk Sil Met is much easier to keep clean than black, and the 1LT's clear coated 16" wheels require no polishing. I've driven both and the 16's are definitely smoother riding than 17's.

Just my $.02

2lt's, personally I don't like the silver ones with chrome, only because the chrome does not really stand out at all. After buying my purple one, I went back to pick up some papers, I checked out the red one, I thought it was a nice color. I live in Florida and hate BLACK cars, the heat is like sitting in a oven on broil! I was not big on leather, being that I do live in Florida BUT it has the auto start so it can cool off before I sit my butt, on the burning seat. A PLUS! Sunroof, bigger plus! Running boards for sure! I bought mine without them, and regret it! (blue was nice too!) GREY INT all the way.

2.4, LT2, Sunroof, Majestic Amethyst, Red and Black

Definitely 2.4 and LT2. Sunroof is very cool - literally!
I think the Majestic Amethyst, Red and Black (and possibly the blue and sandstone) are striking. The silvers do not look make a good contrast against the chrome appearance package.

Dark silver stands out great against the chrome.

silverstone might be a different story. Sorry to steal one of your shots SoCal but it is a great picture.
