That more people would discover what a great car it is before they stop being made, which in turn, might improve their resale value.

You might have a point but it would still be cool though! Especially putting in a V6 (a V8 would make it a hot rod but I'm stretching the imagination here a bit), true dual exhaust, the air intake, audio system, a full size tire well, and all wheel drive. Yes, some of the wishes are more for appearance but the mechanical stuff I think would really work and make it even better.

But of course, I love my Blue Lightning!

I'll bet someone could adapt one of the GM front drive V-6 powertrains to an HHR fairly easy. Especially an engine/tranny swap from a platform that already runs an EcoTech and a V-6. I am thinking of perhaps a Malibu drivetrain or similar. I wonder if the Caddy setup would fit the same footprint? In any event, you'd have to hardcore love an HHR to spend that kind of money....unless you already work in a shop and can do the work yourself. In the end, you'd still have an HHR, a nose-heavy one, and it wouldn't sell for much. It might fly though, especially with a built 300 horse V-6. On the other hand, for the same money you could build an EcoTech to some pretty impressive horsepower (see drag cars and the salt flats racer) God Bless, Marc

2. True dual exhaust meaning two pipes coming from the engine with two mufflers.

3. All-wheel drive. Nuff said.

4. Dome light override switch (my lights stay on even with the doors open). There was a thread awhile back to address this but I can't remember offhand.

5. Full size spare tire and rim. I wish the well would hold up to an 18' tire with the same style rim as the others. That way, if you get a flat, you can just put on the other tire and rim and not have to worry about your speed. Now if someone goes and put 20's on theirs that's different.

6. Speaking of the rims, for the SS, make more clearance for rim despite the Brembo Brakes.

7. A true Pioneer Audio System. Putting a Pioneer Subwoofer in an HHR does not make it a Pioneer Audio System. Go all the way and do a Pioneer Deck, Pioneer speakers (at least two ways in the doors), and at least a 600 watt 5 channel amp. This way, it would be a true Pioneer Audio System. Oh, and another set of tweets high in the rear seat area. Deeper space underneath the seats that way I run an amp to my boxed subs from underneat the seat.

8. Bigger windshield. The windshield vertically needs to be higher.

9. GMPP intake Standard on the 2LT and SS Models. That plastic piece is not only not attractive but it makes it hard to get to the air filter. Now that chrome GMPP is the bomb!

10. More legroom and more rear cargo space. That way, I can put some subs in the back and still have good enough space to put some groceries. As a matter of fact, just have the space already set for a sub box (lets say a 12 inch flat space) then the rest of the space for cargo. That why I don't have to move my sub to get to my spare tire.

11. Bigger glove box. I need to store more than just the manual in the car.

12. Longer armrests.

13. Softer seats. My 2LT is not exactly uncomfortable but not the most comfortable. The cushion is kinda hard although the seat cover is very sturdy.

14. HHR Emblem in the seatcovers (SS Models would have HHR SS).

15. Lower chrome billet standard on 2LT and SS Models.

16. Front spoiler as an option instead of an aftermarket.

17. Four wheel disc brakes standard.

18. Headrests that are adjustable more than just up and down but front to back telescoping wise.

19. Flourescent headlights or HD lights and foglights standard.

20. More chrome on the inside regarding the chrome package. Chrome pedals etc.

21. Chrome HHR Emblems on the bottom door sills standard.

22. HHR Emblem on all of the all weather mats not just the front seats and cargo area.

23. Speaking of the floor mats, premium floors mats with the HHR Emblem standard on 2LT and SS (or HHR SS on the SS Models). Get rid of the basic floors if it's a 2LT or SS.

24. Change the classification from SUV/Truck to wagon because The HHR is neither a truck nor an SUV. It's a car. That would probably save some money on eveyone's insurance.

25. On models that have the remoter starter, make the two way advance remote kit standard and 2 remotes standard.

26. True Chrome wheels instead of polished aluminum or plastic rims. Also more choice on the type of rim. I prefer more of a "disc" rim that a "spoke" rim. Easier to clean and polish in my opinion.

27. Chrome stubby antenna instead of the fishing pole antenna.

28. Better tires than the firehawk tires.

29. Being able to put 235 60's on the HHR. That would make the ride even softer in my opinion especially when you have four people in the car and each of them are almost 300 pounds.

30. The ablilty to tow more than 1000 pounds on all of the models. I'm not saying that I want to pull a house but it does need to be increased. Also, the roof to be able to hold more weight especially if GM is going to put roof racks on it.

GM are you reading all of this? I'm willing to bet that if you take these suggestions and do them, that would help a lot of customers. I love my Blue Lightning!

I guess that a lot huh?

Sounds like you bought the wrong car

I'll keep it simple....it is a nice car (unreliable at times-I have ranted here)....but if I were to change one thing it would be....that it transformed into a Corvette ZR1 upon command....that's all

I wish it had the Skye/Solstice drivetrain. Then you could put an LS-1 motor in it. Put in some mini-tubs and some 275 rubber in the back. Maybe when it's paid for.

Seats that go farther back / lower...........wait, I already did that
HID headlights and fogs
SS rear spoiler redesign so the rear window stay clean
Different pedal spacing / travel
Better rubber
More clearance for wider rubber
More power ( I have issues, I know, 260 is good, but you can never have too much )
2 way remote with rear door open for Panel
Rear gate release from remote
Rear doors won't open from remote when the doors are locked
A better gauge cluster......my speedo is damn near useless.

I have a few more, but they're minor, and I plan on changing them. All in all, I'm very happy with my little SS

I wish they had offered the 2LT with the LNF and that the sub was driven by a separate low freq/sub only output rather than off the normal amps. As it is, if you crank up the bass, it goes up on the main speakers too.
