Good Question can you really get 215 hp out of a 2.4 with out a Nitrous kit.

I figure I'm about at 215 now (or at least over 200). I ditched the stock exhaust for a custom free-flowing set-up and had a tune done. No I don't have any numbers to back up this statement. I can just tell you that It will leave my wife's 2.4 in the dust!

I've got a CGS intake too. But depending on who you listen to, that could have hurt my numbers. The biggest change was with the tune after I had done the other work. I think 215 is very doable with the 2.4 without major $$$$.

I'm planning on going with a ZEX set-uop this spring.

Get a tune, well worth it! May not be 215hp, But will leave the stock 2.4 in the dust! imo!

Port polish, header, exhaust, and tune should get it up there. The software tune is probably the most important part of the equation here and will probably give you the biggest ROI. The stock intake really isn't worth replacing unless you're doing some kind of fancy forced-induction upgrade.

I know people have done different exhausts, and that people have also mentioned the Cobalt-Addiction header/downpipe, but has anyone actually installed the header/downpipe? Those both claim 7-8 HP gains, but I don't think I've heard of anybody using one here.

To get 215 HP you need a full wallet..........

GM has a book on the Eco motors with part numbers, basic directions and part descriptions. I never thought I'd own a Eco motor car and I gave it away. The GM performance catalog only shows a stock crate engine.

Check with a Chevy dealer that sells performance parts and they can get ya the book.
