What's with the weather & seasons

Ok, they all say there isn't anything wrong with the climate and we're not heading to global warming. Well every year we have a Lilac Festival, in MAY. There is a park with hundreds of Lilac tree and it's draws thousands of folks from all over.
Well, the weather is so messed up in New York State, the trees still have there leaves and this is one of my Lilac trees. First time in 20 years that I've had Lilacs in October. I guess it beats shoveling snow.

Here in Ohio, this week the high has been in the 70s. I have been wearing shorts. The high is usually in the 50s and should have had frost by now. If Toledo doesn't have frost until November it will be first time since 1900. The weather pattern is out of whack.

The weather is crazy.

Two weeks ago we had the furnace on because the temperature dropped close to freezing. Today it's 24°C (75°F)

I'm not knocking the warm weather, but it's certainly not normal for this time of year.

You guys are totally correct that the weather has been a little strange. Don't confuse strange weather patterns with major climate change though. Both weather and climate are controlled by many variables. The weather might seem weird now due to whatever group of factors but the climate is a much larger, longer time period thing.

I'm happy that things are slightly warmer than they have been previously, it allows for a little bit more fun before hibernation season!

Here in Austin this week the highs are in the upper 80s low 90s Lows being mid 60s Debs still swimming. We usually have had a few cold snaps but it never totally cools down until Oct. 31st. We had a very mild summer maybe 5 or 6 days hit 100 usually have at least 90 days over the 100 mark. A really hard winter would be nice to see, I think it helps kill off a lot of the bad bugs. I guess we will see what happens, who knows maybe snow for Christmas.

I can't imagine why you have to shovel snow. Captain Howdy lives nearby and I bet he has a snowblower.

Have a coat of ice on my windshield this morning. Our first spotty frost, about a month late this year. My thermometer on my house says 30. Guess it means I better get the snow blower dug out of the back of the barn and get it ready and wax up the snow shovel so it will be ready.

As they say in South Park "Nothing to see here, just keep moving"

100 degrees, 111 mph wind gusts, almost 0% humidity, and a family complete with four children, two cats and a dog have moved in because of the mandatory evacuation.

Snow?
What's that?!
Our seasons are rain, wind, fire, earthquakes.
but there is something inherently wrong with wearing t-shirts and having a bar-b-que on Christmas day...
