The lowest I've seen so far is 18 MPG and the highest I've seen is 24 MPG. I average at about 22 MPG.

I'm lucky if I get my DIC to read 18 mpg when driving in the city. But figuring it manually it's closer to 21 mpg.

I drive like an old man in the city. Too easy to get pulled over for messing around. Plus I would get worse gas milage if I had the car and it wasn't always at the dealer.
Time owned - 3 months
Time in possession - 2 months
Full month of dealer service so far...

Nono...my wife drives like a snail...the avg mph is 16

However, the first tank read 11.8 then 13.2 but she filled up monday and I reset it and now it reads 17.1mpg...so it is getting better. I actually think if she didnt putt around it would increase.

The dic is a dic*. I wish my actual milage were as good as it says. Being a Virgo, I have always kept a record book of all of my cars. I track each time I get gas, modifications, repairs, etc. I calculate my milage each time I fill up the tank (number of miles driven divided by number of gallons used). Here in NYC, with a combo of about 30% highway (including bumper to bumper parking lot style driving) and city streets (ditto) I have gotten as low as 13 MPG, but it is usually around 15. When I get to do more highway, it has gotten into the mid 20's. I have yet to get a whole tankful of highway miles-looking forward to going on a family vacation

By the way, I do tend to do a lot of burnouts

The mileage as per my DIC is just about dead on the the actual mileage I calculate each fill. I do mostly city driving and my low has been 24.8 to a high of 28.4.

Any engines's fuel economy will improve during the first few thousand miles. But I have to agree with some others...your wife must be flooring it off those traffic lights!

BTW I have the 2.4, 5 speed.
