Where can I find a listing of the original installed equipment? Onstar or Bluetooth?

I just purchased a 2009 HHR and I had the same issue. My car is completely missing the power wire so I took it to the dealer to have them add it in and thats where I got the build sheet found out it was a former rental model from hertz. Hertz deleted the Onstar and Bluetooth BUT I have the onstar mirror. . Now the serivce advisor was a 'mansplaner' so I couldn't have a conversation about anything. I mean in the online scheduling I added the note "need to have the rearview mirror power cord attached" and he called me confused as to what I wanted done, he thought I meant the SIDE mirrors UGH.
So my question is can I get the dimmable mirror portion powered up and forget about the onstar portion of it?

Yes, all things are possible, if one has the $'s to pay for it. If there is no power wire to the mirror, one has to wonder if the original mirror was replaced with the current one. There should be power there already for the map lights built into the bottom of the mirror. From what I remember of our mirror, the auto-dimming feature was of minimal benefit.

Look in your glove box, there is an RPO code sticker listing everything on your car. More here: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...options-12674/

My first HHR had the auto dim mirror and the current one that I posted here about doesn't. I thought I would really miss it and also the compass but I don't. Personally I wouldn't pay money to get that feature. Bluetooth yes but auto dim mirror no. My 2 cents...........
