In transit and sitting on the dealers lot. Texas mandates all vehicles get state inspection before they are sold. We do this the day we receive them so they can legally be driven on the street. So if you come to a dealer in Texas you can look at the sticker and figure out how long the vehicle has been on their lot. Some vehicles (not HHR's) can sit on a dealers lot for a year or more before the sell.

Thanks for the info ChevyMgr. But I am curious to know why it took so long to get to the dealer where I purchased it. It was only on the lot a few days.
3 months seems to be a long time on it's route.

Could be customs in three countries or maybe it sat at a GM lot before the transports picked it up for delivery, or maybe it was an alien abduction and they needed to probe all of its portals before they were satisfied that this earh species was pretty normal compared to other ailen species.

Like all Government agencies......Customs is a B$$$H.
It's kind of like the East Coast saying...."forget about it". In the Customs service it's....."when I get around to it".
Also might mention that Mexico's transportation services are not the best in the world.
