Where are these HHR's

Does anyone know what happened to the 4 2006 HHR's that were in a build-off for the Learning Channel?

One came up for sale on Barret-Jackson last year (eagle one's) for around 40G

Does anyone know where the Mothers, Craftsman(complete with power tools), and PTeazer cars wound up?

all four of them share big RWD V8's and complete overhauls, including panel clone. I would just like to know where they are in case another one comes up for sale.

Not sure, I am fairly certain the unique performance one was likely confiscated and the year one HHR is locked up in a GM house somewhere.

I believe only 2 of them got the RWD/V8 conversion, the PTeazer I know for sure never got that treatment.

The Year One is V8 and keeps popping up for sale now and again.... it's got a bogus VIN from what I've read.

GM did that, but the year one had a supposed "salvage" title done by someone switching the VIN from a wrecked one..... There was a thread here on the forum and I think there was a link to the sale with the "salvaged" title....... No place I have lived would allow you to legally title and drive that......... Not sure if that was done to the other three.

I've read, that since the time was short on the builds, many short cuts were taken & they would not make good DDs' if they were legal..

But watching it did light a fire in me about a Panel..........Took a while, but that's how I've been rolling these days..

If thats the case then I guess they are "for display only" God, I hope all those people from Overhaulin didn't get cut conrers. My main concern would be weakening of the frame when they tunneled 'em. But for what its worth, I would love a RWD V-8 HHR!

Even with a nice V6, RWD would be sweet.

I have pictures of the year one build, believe me, it is every bit as sturdy as a factory car. I don't know about all the rest. It wouldn't surprise me if the UP hhr just had a v8 plopped in it, and they pushed it around.
