I went from a 2000 Silverado extended cab to an SS and it was hard to give up for a while but you get used to it. its so much easier to park and it hurts half as much to fill it up. i can throw quite a lot of stuff in the back of the hhr. its definitely a big transition but its a good one

 

Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab and Honda S2000 to the HHR SS. Miss the hauling/towing ability of the truck, but not the gas mileage. Miss the pure sports car-open air of the Honda. Not the worst compromise though.

 

I traded in a black F150 for my white HHR panel. The most notable difference is how much cooler white is than black in the hoter climates like TX. Driven for 2 years and 18,000 miles and love it's versatility, mileage and comfort. Only drawback is towing compasity.

 

I traded in my 1999 7.3L turbo diesel F350 on my first hhr. The transition wasn't that bad. Just had to get used to sitting down into the seat instead of jumping up into the seat. Other than that, I'm glad I made the switch.

 

Went from a '61 Corvair van to my first HHR as the vehicle of choice, the first thing I noticed was how small the HHR feels. Until you get used to the small windows and the "mail slot" windshield, you'll feel a bit like you're in a hot rod with a chopped top, after about a week you only notice it if you drive something with "big" windows again.

He!!..... That's why I own an HHR....... Don't tell me that feeling goes away.



On Topic: I junked a 93 Astro extended when I got the HHR...... an "almost full size" van. Doubled my mile per gallon and added the "Cool Factor"

 

It never really goes away Greybeard, but it sure makes driving some other cars feel like you're in a fishbowl for all the world to see.

 

I went from a full size 3/4 GMC Cargo van to an HHR Panel, and the biggest (and so far only) negative comparison has been hauling capacity. The GMC had enough space in it for a small town, and it has been a bit of an adjustment. The positive side is that I don't get asked to help folks move anymore

 

Corvair Van,, thats funny !!!,,,, I have owned 2 Corvair vans (no windows) and more than a few VW bus's,,, split window one's and one bubble window VW bus.

As far as the windows on the HHR being small,, good,,, and that wont take any getting used to at all,,,, my H3T has tiny windows,,,, Hummer people always call them "pillbox windows".

Well, took the HHR panel home last night and wow is it different from driving a big Hummer,,,,, after years of Hummer ownership (Ive had 3 Hummers) driving the HHR feels like Im driving a go-cart,, but thats not a bad thing at all.

Zipping around town for a few hours was cool and I gota say the HHR is fun to drive,,,, real easy to park too !!!!!!,,,,, Ohhh and far less gas used than my Hummer.

Anyhow,,, I think Im guna adjust soon and be happy about getting the little panel,,,, its very cool looking and everyone I have showed it to LOVES it.

Pictures below are one with the cheapie gray wheel covers and the other 2 pics are with the chrome wheel cover's I put on to get me by till I can get some real wheel and tires on the panel.
