The HHR uses a timing chain regardless of engine size doesn't it? I'm pretty sure the 2.2 and 2.4 do. Not sure on the 2.0 Turbo though.

Oh and OP, I wouldn't worry to much about an overhaul for a while unless you're not doing routine maintenance. We used to have to worry about overhauls and such at about 100k miles. These days it's around 175k in my experience.

Oh, and my 2006 2LT only has 60,000 on it.

Turned over to 77,777 yesterday. No issues with the Deer Slayer other that I wore out the stock brakes at 73,000

I commute 120-260 miles per day. Work 6 days a week, but love the time spent in my little ride...

Mine 2009 HHR AKA" Rudy" is going on 38,000 miles as of this morning... Love the ride I waxed my baby again yesterday...

just turned 116000, got to do front whell bearings , just ordered from GMparts direct.com- 106 each plus shipping- $260 for both, dealer wanted 212 each,YIKes
