Wild HHR

I was checking out HHRs on Craigslist and found this wild one that was a show car for SEMA. Check out the doors.

Oh boy - pretty hideous in my opinion. That passenger door - totally impractical, and doesn't fit right at all. I'm most disappointed there wasn't a clear picture of the "custom rear view mirror" (sarcasm).

Nope, not my cup of tea at all.

Great price I checked and up here that passengers side door could be a deal breaker on the safety inspections!!

Why did they put the instrument cluster in the middle of the dash?

That's just like Toyota did with one of their econoboxes a few years ago. Never could understand that design.

Good Money After Bad

Some of you may find this amusing, especially coming from the guy that has spent 4 years and more money than I care to think about on an HHR build, but I don't like this car at all. The Ptezers front and rear bumpers are fine. What's not to like about a $10k flame job? however, it goes waaaaay downhill from there.. That side door is just stupid. It's a poor fit when it's closed and when it's open you just have to ask yourself "why?" I doubt if this car would pass a safety inspection in any state. They did all that work on the dash just to make it different? Different doesn't necessarily mean better. In the process they eliminated the dash airbag.....I'm not sure that's legal in any state.

I'm concerned about the liability issues this car dealer might face selling this car.

"Different doesn't necessarily mean better"!!! Exactly my thought, especially in this example.
