Angry Window Switch illumination

My window switches do not illuminate. 2 dealers said they are not so designed----can't believe this or is it a Chevy design flaw?

to the site! The light from above ( ) is designed to illuminate your window switches. There is a thread where someone has put lights under the switches. Check here:https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...indow+switches

Yup, what he said!!

It is a really good how-to, I've had all the pieces for months, just keep putting it off. I'll definately, maybe, might do it sometime this spring, or summer, might wait till fall.......now you see my issue, well o0ne of many of my issues!

What difference would it make if they were illuminated? You still have to take your eye off the road to find them. If not, you may be turning on the rear wiper instead.

While I'm very glad the switches are not on the door taking in all the rain we received in Florida, an easier to reach location could have been found.

believe me it makes a big difference when they're lit. Members here who prefer to have the buttons lit with the halo light turned off can see the buttons easier and faster when the cabin is dark.

I'm 58 years old with eyes like Stevie Wonder and I have no trouble seeing the switches...surely it can't be so bad for you young'ns.

It's not so much seeing them for me as being able to reach them. I'm tall and my seat is pushed back to have enough leg room. I have to bend forward and reach way down to the window switches. I can find them in my van by feel without taking my eyes off the road.

Thanks for the info---still do not know why Chevy neglected to light the switches--only car I've owned without lit switches.
