Winter Question.

I usually only plug in the car if it is minus 15C or colder. I was told that two hours should do it, and I find that it does. Good starts, car engine is warm. Saves a lot of dough not having to keep it plugged in all night. Some people have it on a timer, I plug the car in when I take my dog out in the morning before work.
So, those of you that run the Mobil synthetic oil in your cars, do you end up going longer between oil changes? I just got 3000 km on my HHR, and the oil life is at 75%. When I was driving old junkers, oil changes where often hit and miss, but with The Hearse, I want to stay on top of it for warrenty issues, and also because i want to baby this car!

You will notice when the HHR warms up in the morning, you get heat somewhere around 2x faster than most other vehicles. They changed the plumbing on the HHR. Great when you park outside in -20F weather. Most of the time mine (spoiled) is in a heated garage. This eliminates the ice buildup every night.
Thanks for the winter tire recommendation, My Firestone tires will be hitting the pile later this year from my HHR.
When I was in Quebec City last winter, I could make out one direction sign, "Nort", otherwise my Gps got me around, It was difficult to order food in McD's with everything in french. Eh. Yes you hear Eh in Minesota and Wisconsin also.

The factory block heater doesn't come "on" until -18°C.....
That would be "Nord", not "Nort". They didn't have an English side to the menu? Supposed to...
