Wooly Worm

My wooly worm was ripped so I just threw it out. Been looking for a replacement hose with no luck so far and some of the links are no longer active in the threads... I also didn't want to revive a dead thread from 2015 as it apparently triggers some.

I don't want to use dryer ducts, metal flex pipe...ect… Im looking for a flexible rubberized type ducting. I know one shop I used to work at used some nice heavy duty stuff and since my dad passed I don't think I can get any BUT Im going to pay a visit to see the ole guys and my old boss, see if maybe I can snag a scrap of it if any is laying around on its way to the dumpster.....it is a siliconized rubber spiral hose used for vacuum/exhaust on machinery I used to build and should work very well. But until then I am still looking at options for a replacement.

Did you save the rubber end pieces from the old woolly worm? They are the best way to fit the OEM location for air intake from the inner fender to the air box

The only one was the one on the airbox, the other half of the hose and end were missing. I figured with a rubberized hose there would be no vibration and just securing it in the fender would be fine BUT I am planning a trip to the salvage yard if it ever stops raining, maybe Ill find a couple of ends.

The solid stuff doesn't work, it folds when you try to bend it as it is basically a semi rigid straight tube.

There is a guy on FB called The Parts Panda who routinely finds these at salvage yards he frequents.
