My 2010 LT was a rental out of Kentucky. I bought it in October and it only had 8040 miles on it when I test drove it. It had roof rack, running boarsa, Onstar/XM radio, metalic red paint. So it was n icely equiped and I saved a bunch.

I have a former rental. My only complaints are that someone removed a sticker off the driver side visor, and the sticker in the glove box is so tore up its unreadable.
I found the owners manuals in a bag in the hole to access the taillights when I put in my LEDs from Maggie.

Be mindful of things that you can use to bargain the price down such as bad smells (smoking), dents and dings etc. Ask to see the maintenance records. Rental companys like you to think they are religious about changing oil.
They aren't...
My wife rented a Subaru from Hertz this past Winter that was a rolling wreck. Low oil, low air in tires, no washer fluid. Rental agent was an ass. That was the last car we will ever rent from Hertz and I pity the fool who bought that car when it was pulled out of service.
The HHR I rented 6 weeks ago from Enterprise when the engine in my wife's Cadillac blew had 8000 miles on it and smelled like all 8000 miles were driven by a chain-smoker.
Ugh!

Unless it's a dealership rental. I know my dealership has great rental cars. The one I have now is a 2011 Impalla and when I got it, it only had 1800 miles on it. Still smells new. They usually put em on the used lot around 10k-15k

This is actually at a local dealership but was a previous rental somewhere else.
I drove an 08 LT one owner HHR with 48000 miles at another dealer and picked it apart while I had the salesman in the car. They wanted the same money for the 08 as the 09 in my first post.. The keyless entry actuator was sticky, there was a star in the windshield just behind the rearview mirror that I found while adjusting it and the wheel shook when I hit the brakes...Warped rotors I guess. I also found the clear coat flaking off of the driver side running board. I might offer them $10000 just for the heck of it.
