Would you trust a timing chain kit from ebay?

I buy and sell a lot of things on ebay. I trust most things but wanted a second opinion on a kit like this on ebay? Would you go for it? I priced out a full kit like this on rockauto and its much more. Not sure about that tensioner though. Might not be the exact one you get either. So who knows.

Thanks
Ken

Personally, I'd spend the extra money and use RockAuto. Internal engine components from e-Bay vendors make me nervous, a timing chain failure on an Ecotec engine will cause catastrophic damage.

I would make sure they are new and manufactured by a reputable company. Unfortunately the link you are referring is for a company called sealingtek. I have never heard of them and by doing a quick google search, it looks like they buy car parts (probably from china) and put there name on it. I dont feel good about sealingtek from what little I know. Maybe look for a timing set made by Cloyes if not a GM brand.

X3. Go with name brands, you pay more, but with less hassle in the long term

If it's made in China, forget it.

Yes. Most metal parts are now made in China, irregardless of the label or brand. That's where the piles of scrap iron around our ports are bound.
