SBHHR,
It would be interesting to see other Southerners respond to this thread. Living in GA, I'm in the same boat as you. My wife drives 90% highway miles. We've had our HHR for 2 weeks, and we're only getting 24 MPG with 1200 miles on the odometer. Needless to say, I'm not real happy about it. I wasn't planning on seeing the 30 mpg, but I didn't think 28 was too much to ask for.

Oh god! Now it's going to turn into let's be ultra polite and nice and positive all of the time. It was a simple non insulting comment that I meant no harm with. If I would have sugested using the search function then people would be on me also. Sorry but as a general forum rule in all forums it's always better to search and add to an existing thread than start a new thread.

being a forum mod/admin myself on numerous sites in the past, I agree with CH. I know its much easier to just type a question than search the forums for existing threads but everyone needs to learn on how to use the SEARCH button. That's what its there for. SEARCH thoroughly first, then ask questions if you are sure that you did not find the answer you're looking for. Doing this will keep the boards from being cluttered with multiple threads asking the same Q's.

By the way, I did a search for "mpg miles per gallon" and came up with tons of threads. Taking the time to read the threads is not that cumbersome, and who knows, you might even learn something new after doing so.

The other threads did not ask for the total miles on your ride although some people put it down. So the other theads did not satisfy my curiosity.

I think a lot of it has to do with were in the country you are located and what if any type of reformulated gas you are forced to use. here in the Milwaukee area we have a summer blend of gas and I know I'm getting at least 2 - 3 miles per gallon less than when I put in the non-reformulated stuff in a nearby county thats not required to have the summer blend.

I have yet been able to reach the 23-30 mile range. I have had mine for a month now and my screen shows 20.9 MPG. Anyone else seeing this????

My gas milage is about 23 to 26 in town with a heavy foot and smoken tires. On the highway I get around 32 to 35 at about 70 mile an hour. 2.2L 5 speed here. Have you figered it out on paper yet.

Are you using the remote start a lot to cool off the car?

I had notice a similar drop in milage, then i thought about how I had been doing the last few days.....losts or remote sarts with a/c running.

Just a thought....
