or a library window.??
as soloman stated the point was missed, i starting by saying i would like to "chat " with the driver, soloman explain why that could go horribly wrong if the intentions were unclear. i tried to clear the intention since i clearly understood his valid point, point is, glad his okay , sorry his car is gone, dont try to contact a driver , always be ready for an situation that arrises good or bad, dont karate chop anyone , and Kingshipley is a mouthy little terd. that is know to make easy situations more difficult beacuse his mouth opens before the wheels in his head start turning at times

I get that but making sure everything is okay is not the same as 'confronting' someone or 'having a little chat' after an accident as you mentioned.

sure it is why not, talk about what happen and hope nothing bad happens. unless you deliberatley put me or family in danger a chat would be the extent.

I used to run autocrosses and have found that this has been the best defensive/reactive driving instruction I could ever have recieved.

Well, with guns, martial arts, etc. being brought into the mix, you'd have to admit that's an easy thing to do.

Well, To cap this off.. Once again. The HHR is totaled. I came out ok with the insurance so I picked up a Grand Caravan today.. Much better suited to what I do...And almost as good on the fuel.. But crap it cost me 52 bucks to fill it up and it wasn't empty...

Now for the naysayers.. I wasn't distracted in any way.. My eyes were right on the road.. I was following at least three lengths maybe more at 25-30 mph.. I wasn't in a hurry.. I don't hurry anymore..

But, I was distracted for maybe a second by the idiot swerve directly in front of me.. And it was that second that cost me the car.. If I somehow could have focused on what was in front of me, I could have probably stopped in time.. Unfortunately my defensive attention went to the swerving idiot because at the time he was the threat...

Yes, The HHR submarined under the bumper of the Honda..I wouldn't be surprised if the air dam didn't hit the ground before anything else...
Had it not dove so much and the bumper was allowed to do it's job, It might not have been a total loss...Not really a defect but something for them to consider for the future...If it's just going to dive under whatever it hits. Then it's almost an automatic total...

I got to pull the hitch off it.. I have an ad in the classifieds if anyone wants it..It's priced to go so act on it quick..

If you live in the OKC area, I'll even deliver or meet you...

John
