I was gonna get more pics and post em, but i went in for my surgery and cant really do much of anything.
Had a full gastric bypass done and hernia repair, so limited to movement and pretty much limited on everything..
HOWEVER, night before surgery we did pick up the "donor" car. I picked up a 2007 HHR LT, with every option known to man.. which is all the options Ashley wanted me to do to her car while rebuilding. The great thing is tho, the HHR LT is in running condition and we got it for a steal of 1k cash. Yeah has VERY HIGH miles, so driving the LT till either motor or tranny blows on it then go from there...
With a new-to-us car brought new problems that ill be searching soon.

I thought you knew that all 2LTs are 2.4L. Which means the engines are not interchangeable.

So back to this fun little wrecked piece.. Looking at some donor cars soon, for under 450 or less, however... After replacing everything that is bad.. I was told that the AirBag Module were VIN specific? Anyone know if that is true? Trying to pull everything from a donor car to save greatly on cost...

If the airbags have deployed you will need , at least, a new SDM (air bag brain); It must be matched to the VIN in the BCM. It lives just behind the shifter.
If it rolled over it will need a new roll over sensor; no programming needed.
If there was a impact to one of the impact sensors it will need replacing, no programming needed.
a SIR capable scan tool will tell you what is bad.

Shop online! The SIR parts are all MSRPd aroun $300, but you can find them for around $100. There are some places that claim to program used ones; no opinion.
