Sorry to hear about that... I've had to replace my wife's back bumper twice for about the same reasons since she bought the car Sept 09. Once her mom backed into her, and the second time she backed out of the garage into the basketball goal (That's been there forever... lol) Both times I was able to find a bumper on eBay fairly cheap, and local body shop here in town charged me about $150 to have it painted (as long as it was already primed)
Thanks for the link but mine is a custom bumper made by Teazer. Can't find it anywhere cheaper than $745. Can't really see going back to a stock bumper now.

Being that it's fiberglass, it's repairable, no?

Sorry about your bumper, but it looks repairable and would probably be cheaper than a new one and you wouldn't have to re-fit .I have had to re-fit all teazer-pt teazer products I have gotten in the last nine years. LOL.

Hey with it being fiberglass should be able to repair it pretty easy. I had a miata with a body kit and went to far in a parking spot and hit curb, I was able to patch that up and it was a big crack all the way front to back.

At least you guys hit another car...I backed into my house! We'd only lived here about a month or so. They call it a "portico". Basically you drive through it to get to the detached garage. Front porch extends over the driveway. I wasn't looking and backed into it (with my old SHO). I have a snowy pic of the HHR sitting under it in my gallery. Wrecks happen unfortunately.

Anywho, glad to hear nobody got hurt. Just remember at the end of the day, that it's just a car and they make more everyday.

I tapped the snowplow on my tractor today in the pole barn with the rear bumper while backing my HHR out of a tight spot. I was really scared to look, but luckily the blade was tipped forward and only the smooth, rolled edge touched the bumper. It happens...

Mike- Bummer about Bob's custom Bumper..

I think it can be fixed also..
I've seen Vettes that were really cracked & crunched, & were fixed to look good as new..It's only fiberglass after all..
