XM radio.

Hi guys;

I'll have XM radio for 3 months, since it was included with the purchase of my HHR, and, so far, I like it. I was wondering how many of you have XM in their cars? I mostly listen to Alt rock, rock ( ch 40 to 59 ).

What about you?

I listen to mostly Octane (Squizz), Liquid Metal, Hip-Hop Nation, Area and BPM. I've had it for a year now and love it. I just wish you can have 1 XM account on 2 devices but I use the web XM radio at home so it's all good.

Actually, you can have two or more radios on one account (at least here in Canada. Dunno about the U.S though). The second radio adds $9.99/month to your monthly bill. If only they could lower the monthly fees just a little, let's say $15.99 for up to two devices, I think they would get even more customers. I just bought a second radio (a portable Pioneer GEX-INNO1, for when i'm riding my bike).

love my XM but i do't value you for any price higher then the deal i got at $65 for a year. If they don't want to give me a good deal when i renew, then i'll cut it. Don't need the extra expensive, but i hate regular radio.

Loved it when they wanted me to add another radio and they said it would be $6 or $7 extra a month, which was more then what I was paying for the first one. no thanks.

Mine usually flips between 20, 21. 8, 9, 54, and a few others. Long car drives and i turn the comedy stations on to break it up.

I have sirius, For three years. Now with the XM it's even better. I was like twistman and said if the pricego's up I won't renew! That lasted for one mounth and I was back. When you listem to it as much a I do you can't go back to all the BS on free radio. maybe you will I could not..

I've had XM since 2003. I got it when I had a custome system put in my last car, mainly for Opie and Anthony. Thankfully, the SS had it stock, so I didn't have to go pick up a new aftermarket unit. Also a Liquid Metal listener.

I believe you can have up to 6 radios on one account.
I listen to mainly the country and rock stations.

My free three month trial recently ended and I decided to keep the XM Radio. Here's a way to decide if you want to keep it or not. I tried listening ONLY to the local FM stations for a whole week. I lasted about 2 days. I listen mostly to music, and the commercials and local DJ's were driving me nuts! So try that and see if you really miss XM. I suppose it depends on your local radio stations and what kind of music you listen to.

I have had Sirius for 6 years. My SS came with XM which I left on for the trial period. But when I installed my Pioneer Navigation I went back to Sirius because the tuner was cheaper. And for what I listen to they are the same anyway. I could never go back to regular radio.

I had it for three months and listened to those same stations. They played the same songs over and over. I have a greater selection now on a couple dozen mp3 CDs in my visors. XM ain't worth two bits IMO.
