I think if im reading what the OP said is the factory fobs were prob not traded with the panel and they gave him a one made for another vehicle (mini-van) that may have electric sliding doors but could be a different remote than the panels. Either that or the dealer doesn't know how to program them.

My guessing is you would need to buy the correct fobs and go have them programmed or find another dealer that can check this out for you.

Might as well make the rear foot activated if you are going to mess with it. Still can't close it while replacing the battery......
