I bought mine in early August '09. Fitzgerald in Fredneck had to buy my SS panel from a dealer somewhere up in the Poconos. The only deal I got was the money Chevy was offering, Fitz didn't want to deal. What was even more ridiculous was they wanted 1200$ to do the GMPP kit. I was something like 25g out the door for a 5 speed panel SS, RPD, performance package, performance seats, sunroof, but no premium sound.

You're right. I checked every single option box on my order including the roof rack cross bars and rear bumper protector, but not the performance display, and the Maroni sticker on my '09 SS came in at $28,065 total. Adding the RPD would have boosted it to $28,360 and that's as high as you could go on an SS.

$22, plus more for my beat-on Civic than it should have gotten; great interest rate. Sounds like some of you did better, but I'm happy. What is RPD?

Congrats! Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

RPD = Reconfigurable Performance Display. It replaces the boost gauge and sits where the auxiliary glove box is (above the stereo).

And who's the genius that decided moving the boost gauge from it's very cool spot on the A-pillar to the top of the dash was a good idea? No RPD for me.
