2008 chevy hhr SS pricing ( u.s. figures) =http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=124008 (for us canadians...just add at least 10 grand before any options or taxes paid...cuz we enjoy getting ripped off up here regardless of how strong our economy is)

I hear ya... although I'm eagerly awaiting Canadian pricing... I'm also dreading it.

Base prices for low-option vehicles tend not to be too horribly overpriced, but we sure do get hosed on higher-optioned vehicles.

You would think that the heated seat option would be reasonably priced for Canadians but just Build Your Vehicle then click on leather seats and you get .... The total price of this vehicle will increase by $3,225. GM makes you take Pioneer Premium Speaker System w/Subwoofer and Security Package. In the USA you get the seats for ... $950.

Similar story with automatic transmission with command start.

Similar story with delivery charges.

Then there's a $1,500 incentive available to Americans but not Canadians.

All in all this is why the HHR Panel that I am eyeing is about $10,000 more in Yukon than a few hundred kms to the west in Alaska.

Wow... a 5k premium over the US?

Ouch.

I hope they bundle the options differently then... so that we get more content for the extra money.

If we have to spend another 2.5k on top of that, for LSD, Brembo, Sunroof, Premium stereo, Roof Rail Airbags etc... that's gonna suck.

The Caliber SRT-4 is 25k up here... and the same price as the SS in the US (23k).

So, I'm a bit surprised that they would price the SS 3k more than the SRT-4 in Canada. I was kinda hoping for 25ish.
