2009 HHR Turbo Production on Hold
Word from m Dealership (Sales Manager) when attempting to submitt my order for the HHR SS "Effective immediately, General Motors has placed a hold on all 2009 HHR SS Turbo production until further notice"
They wouldn't even accept the order?
Anyone getting similiar information or have any idea what this is about?

Now that the factory has just picked up my order, another delay?
But, if there is a problem with the 2.0L turbo, fix it now, not when I'm on the road.
And, from what I have seen on this forum, mightymouse isn't the only owner with a problem with his SS. Dumb robots are only as good as the dumb programmers.
Plastic engine and inter cooler parts, come on.

Agreed. Im looking to get an 09 SS in some form as well. Ive kept up on all the posts that our owners have telling of problems. I will gladly wait for the new model bugs to get ironed out. No time or desire to have to go to the dealer if at all possible.
Wants: 09 SS, Aqua blue metallic, auto, either panel, or AA5

Mines working like a charm.
Actually saw a 3rd one in my area on the road this morning - we looked kinda puzzeled at each other when we passed
Those 08 models are moving quickly....even on the road. Dont get too envious.

You know, people always blame engineering. Well, having been one for 25+ years, I tell you flat out, it's the fricken bean counters. The engineers know how to make everything the best way and believe it or not the easiest to service too. But some manager/tightwad always comes along forcing a two tenths of a cent compromise that screws up the design, gets a bonus and we get the blame.
Every time you look at a design and think why didn't the engineers do it like this? Think that yes, the would have and probably even one better, but calculate the cost (a penny or two) that would be needed to make that happen.
I'm venting... it's frustrating, but it ain't us people, we buy these things too and always want to make them as top notch as possible.
