2009 test drive ss lt

off the line nothing special. got beat from 0-60 by a bmw 3 series. once i got moving and on the highway pick up was good but nothing crazy for a 4 cylinder turbo.. i'm 6 feet, so the shifter seemed too low and hair did graze the roof. the seat did not angle back and reclining was no solution.

did notice that clicking sound from the clutch. when i returned the hhr im guessing the turbo is in front of the dash, but could hear no whine. did notice a bit of torque steer when pushed. no car will be made just right.

anyway ordered a panel ss. hoping with less glass and no rear seats it should feel a little more nimble. seriously considering the gm extended warranty so i can beat on this thing.
thx dave

If you want more performance skip the panel and get a Cobalt SS.

using the panel for work. putting on store graphics. accountant says a car would would not fly. plus i need to put my goalie hockey bag and sticks in.
was looking at a gmc typhoon for 2 years. with the panel on the scene its a modern compromise. over time im sure we can squeeze over 300 hp.
after warranty of coarse

Skipping the sunroof gives a couple of inches extra headroom, front AND back seats on the HHR.

Only 2 3 Series BMW's should have beat you. (335, M3)

You should run close to the 330 (drivers race)

Yeah don't bring a knife to a gun fight. Pick up a vette, put the graphics on the hood! The bmw's probably wouldn't even try you then!
