Wink 4000 Mile Road Trip Now Has 5000

well I week ago took the wifes new ss north to Mass. plus Tenn, NJ, NY, ect
got 26-27 mpg at 80-87 mph, 1-2 tanks full, then did 29-31 at 65-72 for 2 tanks. HHR is a lot better than last year 2006 srt8 mag, sold it for the HHR, I still shead a few tears, hte magnum holds the record for FL-NY 1155 miles 15hrs 10min with all gas breaks,
anyway back to hte HHR once in Mass with 3200 mile she died total dead like it ran out of gas. on-star ect ..... pulled a few fuses under hood and HHR starts, spends 3 days in Salem Mass hillcrest chevy, GREAT GUYS WORKED HARD SO I CAN GET BACK TO WORK.
3DAYS LATER THEY FIND THE FUSE BOARD IN THE ENGINE BAY IS CRACKED,WELL THAT PIECE IS ON BACK ORDER!!!!!!!!!
they use some glue and extra clips and jam the fuel relay off the pump back in the board and 2 days late we are on are way back to get fixed in FL..
one more week in the shop in FL now all is well.

I think you'll find the cracked fuse "board" a relatively common issue. However, I didn't know it carried over to the SS.

Good luck with your car and
