50,000 Mile SS "Club"
#11
Congrats C2! I know we both got our 08 SS at about the same time. I just rolled over 52K and still really lovin' it also. I had a battery die on my this week, but the dealer replaced it for jsut $50 and GM picked up the rest for Goodwill Customer Satisfaction so I was fine with that. I've had a few minor problems but they are way offset by the smile I get when I pour the coals to this ride when I hit the streets!

100,000 miles out of the stock tires? I just replaced mine at 41K miles, and I don't beat on the SS. I probably could have gotten another 5-10K miles out of the tires, but it was getting difficult to turn the SS during slow turns such as in parking lots. And very slippery in wet conditions. I can't imagine how anyone can get 1000K miles out of any tire, let alone the stock performance ones.

Approaching 57000 miles, my goal is 100,000 miles from these tires
We shall see............................................... ....

When I took the SS in for inspection at the end of April, they were surprised as well, couldn't believe the amount of tread left with the mileage.....

57,039 miles.
Just replace the stock tires, went with a 235/45 Continental Extreme Contact DWS. All i can say is holy cow are these some quiet tires. Change oil when it gets around 20% left.
i have had a Turbo replaced, an ECM and all kinds of other things to fix a surging issue and no boost issue. When it drives, it is very good, when your boost goes out, it is the worst car on the road.

I am at 57,000 miles and change. I am still running the OEM tires but I have used a set of winter wheels and tires both winters I have had the car. I am guessing I have put on over 25,000 miles on the winter Blizzaks. I am hoping to make it thru till winter with my stock tires and then look to replace them next spring. G.B.

Mileage
Hello all,
I have a 2008 SS Auto that has a little over 84,000 miles. Haven't had any engine or electrical problems (yet), runs great, sarts everytime, and gets great mpg (when i keep my foot out of it). I purchased an extended warranty for 100,000 miles, so after that I'll start modding.
Just my 2 cents.
