70,000 mile club

Closing in fast on 40k miles and just shifted my strategy on this car. I was planning to slow down on the miles and drive my other car more ('08 Mustang Bullitt) to save this fun ride for the longer run. But I'm now being plagued with minor issues due to the cheap interior and the paper thin paint. My SS has thus far been a DD and spends all it time outdoors and now I'm convinced this HHR won't be aging well cosmetically and I'm a stickler for that stuff.
The new plan is to press on to about 100k, which I should reach in about 36 months, then send it off to the next owner. I agree that there is really no direct replacement out there right now and that's a pity. But there are many new vehicles from all the makers in the pipeline now so I'll just have to wait and see what's available in 2014. If it's going to be another GM product, it better have some improved paint and interior quality.

^^ I only have 8000 miles on my 2010 HHR SS and I am very disappointed with the paint quality. It seems If I even look at the paint wrong it chips Don't get me started on the symphony of noise from the interior components. the car has not even been driven enough to loosen anything on the interioir...can't wait for that.
On the other hand the car is mechanicaly perfect after 8000 HARD miles which is what really counts in the end.
