7500 mile report by MR. ANAL....
just thought I would give everyone my report @ 7500 miles.... I have been very fortunate with the SS, there is only 1 minor issue, which I think I can fix myself, and that is there seems to be a rattle in the upper dash on the driver's side. This only happens when going over certain bumps and road imperfections, doesn't last long, but long enough to be noticed. Probably a little velcro or foam pad would help once I find out what is causing the noise.
Other than that, this vehicle has been trouble free in the 4 months of owership.
changed my oil at 2750 miles and now with 7500 on the clock the oil life is @ 58%. At this rate I would probably get about 9000 miles out of an oil change, although I may change it sooner than that. And the engine has not used 1 drop of oil, so I am a happy guy....
Will be more once the mods begin.....

LOL - so right.
Somehow it reminded me of a friend that proudly told me that he had changed his oil, and after a few days checked the oil level in his 60's Ford, and was quite happy that it read about a quart HIGHER than when he first changed the oil. Strange eh? Then he told of how he had just fixed a leaking fuel pump that was pumping fuel out the vent hole on the side of the pump onto the ground - he plugged the hole by hammering a nail into it - PRESTO - no more fuel leak. SURPRISE!!! the fuel pump was now leaking fuel into the crankcase!!! A quick smell of the dipstick confirmed it. Needless to say he replaced the fuel pump - end of problem. Some people should never pick up tools.

Not just hammered into place, but if it's coated with JB Weld... that's a different story! It's the only thing more magical than bacon.
