Acceleration data from HHR SS

Bought a coppy of HP Tuners Pro so I can tune the pcm in the HHR SS to
trim the fueling and timing when any mods are done. We are still waiting on
HPT to enable the definitions so the program can be modified. I read out
the program. It took 21 min to do.
Scan functions work so I did some 3rd gear acceleration runs from
35 to 96mph and 2200 rpm to redline.
MAF airflow maxs out just where Chevy says the HP peak is- about 5500 rpm.
Timing at WOT is around 8 to 12 deg. Before you say that is bs, when you run
a lot of boost, you need much less timing than a na motor. The SAE paper
says it is a very fast burn.
60 to 80 was 3.4 sec, 60 to 90 was 5.5 sec- bone stock, no mods yet tho
I have parts.

Last they told me they hadn't cracked the code yet for changes, have they given a timeline yet?

THey have cracked the code for the GXP. You can make PE changes etc.
They have not cracked the boost control yet but u can fix that with a EBC.
I had ride in a 375 hp GXP modded with HP Tuner Pro

BUT

even tho the pcm and operating system is the same as GXP, the definition
files are not. Thus we wait. They do not give time lines. Go to support@hptuners.com and ask them to support the HHR SS. Hopefully
after they finish some Ford stuff, we are next.

Got this from Bill at HPTuners regarding 2008 HHR. "Yes its actually only the HHR SS right now as they use a pcm we support, the std HHR with the 2.4 motor(I believe) uses an E37 pcm which we do not YET support(but are working on them as well)"

Just ordered it, so I'll be interested in comparing notes (and progress). Thanks for the info!

BIG NEWS I just got a reply from HPT and they took my file I sent in and
made a beta version of software, VCMSuite-2_2_1_Beta_11Z3, that I connected to my 08 HHR SS and it WORKS!! I am able to see and modify
PE and many other tables. There are some interesting torque management
iterations going on in the rpm vs gear sections.

Like I mentioned in previous email, once u get your software, read the car,
send the file and your suite s/n to support@ hptuners and u will get a link
to new software.
