Amazing Throttle Response

So I was doing some interesting side by side roll-ons with a friend's very high dollar 450+ RWHp
(V-8) car this last weekend, and for a variety of speeds and gear selections the SS would jump ahead by 50-100 ft or so, and then he would catch up and pass. It really reminded me of when I was doing side by side runs with a small 2-stroke motorcycle against a more powerful 4-stroke, the 2-stroke would jump ahead, then the 4 stroke would rocket on by. This is with PPC tuner.

My wife and I raced each other, my Z06 and her in HHR SS, I let her get a tiny lead so I could listen and watch the SS take off, and guess what? I could not catch her with her on full boil and me playing catch up, before the next intersection(1/8th mile or so). That turbo torque is tough to beat!

The SS has more ooomph then I'll probably need. But that doesn't mean I won't use it.

More than you'll NEED, yes. More than you'll WANT, highly unlikely. One thing I have learned with having fast cars is that it is never fast enough. Once you get used to the stock power, you'll decide to add a little more with some sort of performance part. It will be great for a while, but then you will get used to it, and add a little more. The cycle just never ends!!!

Actually, I am.

The only difference is that I am trying to get the highest GPM possible.

That would be Gallons Per Mile.

260hp is nice but 315hp would be nicer, if GM were to release their stage kits for the HHR >_<
