Another "good news" result of the HHR's ability to protect occupants in a crash. 35 MPH is going pretty dam fast to hit someone. Too bad about your car though.

On January 31rst the wife and I were involved in a crash doing about 57mph in our 4 month old '08 VR SS. Someone crossed an intersection in front of us
on a state route with a speed limit of 55, and we T-boned them.

It was later determined to not be our fault, but it resulted in my SS being totaled by Allstate when the repair estimate exceeded $21,000...

We can definitely attest to the safety of the HHR in front end impacts, looking
at the interior afterward, it does not look deformed at all. From the windshield
forward though - it's a different story.

We're now driving an Imperial Blue '09 SS since I couldn't find another VR to replace it with.
Very nice color, but would have preferred VR.

Pictures and verbose description of what happened.

I agree. If someone ever hits me ESPECIALLY if I have family in the car... I'm going to paint the windshield with their brains.

I'm sorry about your car... Im also glad to hear no one was hurt
