I think that's the guy I'm thinking of too... he used springs from his previous HHR.

are you saying you'd use a pro kit for a cobalt in the hhr ss? i searched for any lowered ss on here and came up with nothing. i'm definatley not worried about giving up some handling for being lowered. going fast around corners is over rated for me anyways. i'm used to having 3-4 times this amount of power with drag suspension...

i would just use the pro kit that is for the HHR, the guy on the cobalt site used sportlines. If i were you I would throw a pro kit on it, there is no proof on this site that it screws up handling. If i knew the post with the guys that lowered his we could ask him. I think with a lower center of gravity and less air flow and lift from under the car from lowering it, it would run faster and handle better. just my opinion though.

..and when you youngsters get done with this silliness, I would like to know if anyone has RAISED their HHR. Up a few inches would look SO much better!!!! ...and give some clearance to put REAL tires on these toys.

^^^ No noone has raised their HHR like a 4x4 that i know of on here. most of us so called youngsters and our silliness like to have our vehicles lowered. whats your problem man every post you bash on us or the HHR. why even post here when you do this crap. Why don't you put a 6 inch lift on your car i think it would be great def a good laugh.

Just my spew on lowerin'.......I've lowered a few and from what I got out of it was.......the car wanted to handle toward the loose side....... front end wanted to cut in sooner and the car wanted to roll and rotate too late...... seemed like mpg did increase a tad cause the "wind" was not under the car as much....was more stable in cross winds and was less comfy on bumps. To me the SS handles 'bout right and it seems at higher speeds she "pulls" down. If you are total drag it would help with decreased front end lift but hurt weight "bind". On looks....I prefer lower unlike others that like bein' big and tall. Most of all.....GO FER WHAT U WANT and screw other opinions. (personally I don't give a rats butt what others think 'bout me or my ride)

Coilovers are better than the stock suspension, no matter where it was tuned. That's what I'd do.
