Question Automatic Shift Knob Cover?

I need some way of covering the chrome on my shift knob. I hate chrome. It's not because I don't think it looks good, it's because it reflects sunlight. Bright flashes of light have always been a migrane trigger for me, so I tend to avoid windshields and flashbulbs.

Anyhow, I was trying to look down at something on the floor in front of the passangers seat, and that darn shift knob looked like a solar flare. Google is not being my friend on this one.

TIA.

Duct tape? At least it will work until you get a good permanent solution.

That was my first thought. I even have a roll in black.

Well, that won't cost anything. I was thinking along the lines of black leather since I got that steering wheel on mine.

You may be able to paint it with the right material. Check with the guys/gals that have done their grilles.

I would think a piece of colored vinyl like we are using for our stickers and headlight brows would work nicely.

If you can take it off...I would recommend taping everything but the chrome, light sand, and using rattle can flat black.
