Blow off valve?
#2
Depends on the max psi used and the length of IC piping.
My 88 Thunderbird T-coupe had the IC right on top of the turbo with a short path into the throttle body.
Even though the max boost was set at 15 there was no factory Bypass or Blowoff valve.
I added a bypass valve cause I raised boost to 20psi. and had some slight trailer hitching.
Later when I went to a front mnt IC I really needed the Bypass Valve because of all the extra air in piping.
Here I am adding one to my Mustang.

Maybe I'm getting older, but I found the BOV I had on my SRT-4 was annoying (hks). I went back to stock on it, made no performance difference (was at stage2, 281hp, 293 tq ). hopefully the SS won't, but thats just my 2 cents.
