I took mine in for the brake fix today at 9 AM and took a Rental Car home at 4:30 PM. The fix took 6 hrs to in complete including the computer reprogramming. Then when the vehicle was started they received error messages and the check engine light came on. The tech was still checking it out when we left. I kind of expected this after reading all the posts, but you would think they would have the bugs worked out by now. The dealership has treated me ok so far. Hoping they figure it out tomorrow. We live an hour from the dealership.

Oh man - I'm hoping I'm not without the SS for two days for a brake fix.

I received a call the brake fix was complete, and picked up the SS this afternoon. They said the problem was with one of the connectors. So they had to go through and check all the electrical connections related to the fix. I will see if it took care of the problem in the morning.

Now I put the "cold hard brake" problem to bed!! The brakes worked as they should on start-up this morning.

I just had the Stage 1 kit installed, and they were going to test if for the brake fix at the same time. Dealer charged me $85 for stage install, which I felt was VERY fair, but they needed two days to do the brake pump, which was free. I was surprised at their friendly service, and the results are great.

I finally got an appointment for next Wednesday. My concern is that if that takes more than one day, I'll be without my HHR for several days since this is the day before Thanksgiving.

They can do it in one day if they have all the parts. I'd encourage you to let them know you expect proper routing of the wiring through the wire harness and looms, so you don't end up with an abortion like mine was.

I don't know if what happened to me is the same as what you guys are explaining, but I know I know I nearly rammed into a security gate.

I have a 2008 SS AT, and the other day when I was leaving the parking garage at work, when I came up on the security gate, I went to brake, but the brakes went quishy and I barely slowed down. I let up off the brakes and then applied them again, and this time they worked fine. Fortunately I wasn't going fast, so I still stopped with about an inch or two to spare.

Now that I think about it, it was cold that day and the car had been parked for about 10 hours in the parking garage.

Do you guys think this sounds like the same problem. I don't have an issue in the morning when I leave for work because my home garage stays relatively warm since it hasn't gotten below freezing in Memphis yet.

I just got the car about a month ago, so this will be my first winter and I sure don't want my brakes to go squishy on me again when I really need them.

I got it installed in 2 weeks, they had hard time getting a terminal but it works. I am waiting on the flash for Phase-1 kit to be upgraded for vacuum pump.
