I got a card in the mail listing some urgent issue that needs to be addressed at the dealer. I'm assuming it is the brake fix, but it doesn't specifically mentioned that.

They want you to come in and trade in you 08 for a 09. Slow sales you know! LOL

As far as I know there is no recall on the brakes. It is a if you complain we will fix it TSB warranty only.

Well the dealer just called and they are getting a low voltage at the booster pump code.

Had this that has had the pump put on their SS?

The TAC is to call them back but they have not heard from them yet.

I would bet it isn't. GM frowns on sending post cards out due to a TSB. Now for a recall, that's allowed.

Update

Still no resolution to the vacuum pump not being commanded to turn on with a vehicle that has had the stage kit installed. Anyone wanting to add the stage kit and the brake vacuum pump upgrade should pick which one they want the most or wait until a proper program is available.

Thanks for the update!

Any guess at what would cause low voltage code? The dealer is working on it and is puzzled. They have their lead tech on it now.

They spoke to one person at the TAC but he refered them to another guy who has not called back yet.

If I hear what the problem was I will pass it along.

No idea here. The only one we have installed is on the second HHR that we installed the stage kit. So I haven't seen one work yet. I would say there is an issue with the wiring or connectors. I can't remember which members had the vacuum pump installed but I believe both were satisfied with the results.

Thanks!

They have rechecked the connections but did not see any issue. Everything is working and the pump is operating fine. The only issue is the code coming up.

I will watch for your update on the Stage kit and Pump. I should have my kit in about 2-3 weeks. I want to take the updated info in when I take the stage kit in for install.

If anything my Cobalt loaner makes me really appreciate my SS!

I have the stage kit on my car , and love it . I just had #09-05-22-001 put on and now I have a soft pedal and no brakes at startup . With the hard pedal you at least have some brake . I took on anew vette the other day and he could not out run the turbo upgrade . So have some fun with a $70,000 car . they do not like it .

Day three and Warren MI has yet found a way to turn off my low voltage to the booster code light.

The roads are crappy here so I am fine in my Cobalt loaner.
