Brembo Rotors / Pads

I wanted to replace my rotors (it is a long story). I am not affiliated with anyone mentioned herein.

Rock Auto has Brembo Raybestos Advanced Technology front rotors for Brembos at $34.79 (#580775). No, they are not drilled and sloted - I will not enter that fray - I believe they have them, although I did not check the price

The interesting part is the rears are $45.99 - (#480243). Which is about right price. Get the deal on the fronts until they correct the catalog error. (assumption on my part)

Had to contact Hawk to get the right part # for the front pads (HB548F.590). Rears are common. Try Summit if you cannot find elsewhere.

Everything went together fine. Braking performance restored, no squeeks yet.

Question

Question. To anyone. Are the Brembos 4 piston and are they ceramic from the factory? I'm looking on Rock Auto now for front pads and the discription of the parts are not always clear. I'd like to get ceramic. Are the Hawks that much better? Rock Auto doesn't seem to have Hawks.

Brembos are 4 piston. And the 34.79 price tag isnt for a brembo rotor no way. Also dont get the Hawk pads theyre garbage. If you have the brembos stick with the brembo pads. Theres been long discussions on this topic

Just curious. Are the pads for the Brembo option one-off's or do they fit multiple vehicles? This would probably give you an idea of cost and availability for the current market, but more important, availability in 10 years (if you're a car keeper).

The rotors are Brembo. I have them on the car. Check the part # with Raybestos - and they are the advanced rotors.

Hawk pads are garbage - your opinion. Mine is they are fine, your choice - the factory pads squeel - check the bulletins that's a fact -mine did- I decided to try something different. Time may change my opinion - for now it is good. I beleive the pads also fit Cobalt SS with Brembo.e

Brembos will squeak. Have you ever heard a performance brake no squeak a little when breaking soft???? I mean if you wanna downgrade from Brembo to lower qualitypads then be my guest

Does anyone know if there is a kit out there to put Brembos on an 08?
