I replaced my Headlight and Fogs and all I had to do was remove the wheel well cover by removing the one screw at the top of inside the wheel well and then popping out the other two pop out plugs (excuse my naming) and then reached in and twisted the lights out, grabbed the wire so I could replace the bulb and then put back into the socket and twist it back into its locking position. It was a tight fit to get my arm in there and I had to turn the tires out so I could pull back the cover inside the wheel well, but it was not too bad.

Edit:

I just re-read your post. Sounds like you want to get in from the front end. You get to the headlights and fog lights from underneath the front tire wheel wells. It briefly describes it in the user manual if you look in the headlight replacement section.

You just replacing bulbs or going full out HID? I replaced mine with some Nokya "HyperWhite" lights and they have a nice HID look and reflect the road paint and street signs better which is why I installed them. I cannot stand the dingy look of the standard halogens.

I'm going HID.I like the look and also for me to see better at night. I just ordered a tool to pop those inner fender pins. I wanted to make job a little easier.

I may go full HID later when I save up some money. I also want to get LED Taillights and tune the engine as soon as I find out if it is safe enough to do so with my auto trans. For now I just threw in the 7000K Halogen bulbs which give a close look to HID and also helps me see better at night.

Is the SS Fog H11? The list says HHR but doesn't specify.

Also who here actually has a glove box light?

Been wondering the same thing myself, i know the lens's are different between the SS and regular HHR, but i'm leaning toward the bulbs being the same but have not heard anything in the way of a sure thing.

Reason i'm asking too, is that i have posted in the general HHR are about input on aftermarket bulbs for both headlight and fogs since i'm in the mood to replace the Silverstars in the headlights and upgrade the stock bulbs in the fogs.
