The dealer will get to eat this repair. You have to catch model descrepancies within 48 hours of the vehicle hitting the lot to get GM to pay for them. If not, the dealer pays for the repair. We bought RS moldings on a silverado last week. LS had them RS didn't.
I couldn't resist using the LS/RS abbreviations.

because I did the repair myself they do want the running board back, as it is going back to GM, again from what they told me, GM was very upset on this factory mistake.

Then it's good for you, good for the dealer, but still it's funny. This happens more then GM, and I bet other manufacturers, would like to admit.

Repeating myself, that factory worker had a bad day on my SS, as the SS and GM chiclet emblems are crooked on the LF side, the dealer has the emblems in stock and put aside for me, as I will do those repairs also have ordered touch-up paint as well, need to be prepared..............

no but I wll tomorrow, now they are not sideways or anything, but with my ANAL eyes, and upon closer inspection with the level on top of the emblems, it was determined that they were off, and the RS were perfectly staright and level. It just shouldn't be, all the other emblems (back) were also level.

For me ,a 2LT owner, they are only useful for keeping road debris off of the rocker panel and lower doors and I like the look with them.

the SS, the way it's supposed to be on the LS(left side)
if you look closely at the SS emblem you will see that the rear of the emblem is lower than the front of the emblem, ever so slightly. and the chiclet is off to......

I bought a 1986 GMC S15 Jimmy via RPO back in late 1986... it was near the end of the build-out cycle (generally, it's not such a good idea to buy near the end of build-out, but I didn't know any better at the time). I lucked out as the only thing wrong with the truck was that the driver's fender badge said "S15 Jimmy" and the passenger's fender badge said "S10 Blazer." They were shaved in the first week (along with just about everything else) so it wasn't an issue for me.
