If anyone can get there hands on the Sept 2009 issue of Hot Rod, theirs a great write up on the direct injection LNF and also check out the write up on the 2008 HHR SS at www.maxchevy.com dated 5-15-08, that was the first time the SS panel was mentioned that it was going to be built.

Well, I'm surprised.

...and, obviously, mistaken.

Don't get all that worked up.

GM has not spent a lot of time marketing this engine. They also have stopped production on any performance model with this engine and has not started selling the new models yet.

GM did not invent this to start with, did not have the money to promote it when they first put it on the market and DI and or DI Turbo's will be offered by everyone in the next couple year like FI is already on all cars.

The are worse things to get worked up over.

And yes advertising plays a part as well as marketing. GM is now just getting their new marketing focus going and new advertising programs with new companies on line.

Look for a big push on the Eco in the new 1.4 and updated 2.0 trim soon. THey are now giving the engine a make over to be smaller and lighter and I am sure GM will push how efficent, light and powerful it is soon.
