Cobalt and HHR SS models to be discontinued?

Maybe you don't see resemblance, but I sure see a similarity in the shape of the rear ends of the two vehicles. I said it reminds me of the Aztek, and that is my subjective comment. In my mind's eye, I see an awkward rear end treatment that looks as if the same guy designed them.
The Orlando will sell but I don't think it will do the numbers the HHR is doing. Also the new Nox is what most people will buy over the Orlando. The new Nox is so much better.

It is bigger, better built, cheaper and gets better mileage.
It is best in class for MPG with the 184 2.4 DI Ecotec and even the 264 3.0 DI is still better than most.
Most reviews have stated the 2.4 is all you since it is hookes to a six speed tranny and it keep in its power range and both are well suited for the job. The V6 is good but not that much different even with the power differance. It has an advantage in towing and that is it.
I have seen the 2.4 is good for over 30 MPG + and is very quiet and smooth. It even comes with electronic sound dampening standards.
Chevy lowered the price vs the 2009 so not only is it better it is cheaper.
In all around driving Autoblog stated they never had to worry about merging into traffic and the 2.4 returned 26 City/Highway in a 3800 pound vehicle.
They and several other magzine reviews state this vehicle is not just good but as good or better than the Toyota Rav, Ford Excape or Honda CRV and should be looked at if you are in the market for a small SUV.
Chevy should do quite well with this and if anything may hurt the Orlando in sales unless it is really cheap.
GM has some of the best cars coming out in the next couple years that they have ever built. They should do well if they can get people to give them a try. Many of the things that failed them in the past will go away with the new platforms. The new Camaro, SRX, Lacrosse, Nox all have just reached the show rooms and all have been the talk of the media and how good these vehicles are.
GM will have a real Hybrid version of this in about a year and a half. Not the crappy kind they have had in the past. One that will boost mileage to near or over 40 MPG highway.

Nope might want to check it out and read up. It gets better MPG than the old one and even better than the old class leader the Ford Escape Hybrid.

Once again, GM still thinks bigger is better,
So no GM for us to replace her Honda crappy Odyssey.

The PROBLEM is the Equinox IS STILL BIG. I don't give a damn about the fuel mileage. My wife drove one and said it's not small enough. Yeah it was nice but it's no SMALL SUV.

It is good to see however that the mpg is getting a lot better with suv's. Hopefully we will see more and more hybrids over the next few years and more of the smaller suv's.

GM is offering the Orlando which is going to be much smaller Might have her check it out in a year when they are out. It should be just a little smaller than an HHR.
The key here is most people want space to haul and economy so the Nox give them both and more of each than the compitition. You're wife is not the average buyer wanting just small. Besides the Nox is small compared to past SUV's these buyers are giving up for it.
GM is not just doing big only besides the Nox is not big for the average SUV buyer.
No matter the Nox will be a hit for Chevy with or without your consideration.
