Official GM release??
Can anyone point me to an official release from GM saying the HHR SS is dead? A friend of mine wants to buy a new one and only drive for cruise night so in 20yrs he will have a collectable. I guess this will make our really rare. In a year or two it will be traded for a Camaro RS. My wife misses her Stang GT.

As for rare.... when the time is right buy the Camaro. I have a rare Fiero V6 that is not worth that much in the garage now that I bought new.
Drive the SS and enjoy it. Also might get the Camaro with a V8 while you can as it should have good resale since they may be a V6 only car in the future. If there is a sixth gen it will be a small V8 or more likely a Turbo V6.

The Aztek was a good vehicle and there was nothing wrong with it functionally. But the styling doomed it from the start.
We looked at a loaded one that went unsold a few years back it was marketed all the way down to $14K new with AWD. We just could not do it and it was all based on styling alone. It drove fine and inside it was not bad. but we just could not see buying a vehicle we hated to look at no matter what the savings.

I actually really liked the interior of the Aztek. But even after the changes they made to the rear in the second year, I could not get over the exterior styling.

The car has been a 25 year trouble free vehicle. Taken several national awards. Been in several national magazines. Been loaned to and put on display by GM. Done over 100 MPH laps at Indy Speedway. Competed against and beat 6 figure cars at concourse shows. Been on display on the turn table in the Summit Racing retail store. ETC!
In other words this is not your regular Fiero.
While there are some Fiero's with issued out there there are a heck of a lot of them that have been and still are good fun to drive reliable cars. I could say the same for the HHR too.

Nice fiero brother, It looks so clean. Used to see them everywhere here in chicago, Now days it's a rare to see a couple nice ones in a year.
I too am thinking about trading up to a camaro SS (Black). Will See.
